Project Peru at Christmas-our Christmas entertainment at the refuge

Every year the children and staff prepare an 'entertainment' for the families, for other guests and visitors, and for some of those who have previously left the refuge, often  after  it has been  their home for many years. We offer music, drama, dance and food, and we traditionally offer Christmas 'baskets' of food to the families to take home for Christmas.

Project Peru at Christmas- distribution of Christmas 'baskets'

Thanks to our Christmas appeal and especially through a generous response from the Amoria Bond company and their  large donation of food, Project Peru received a delivery for distribution just before Christmas. This was sorted into Christmas 'baskets' for around 100 families including the families of our own children and families in Las Laderas.

Project Peru at Christmas-bringing Christmas cheer to a local nursery school

Thanks to our Christmas appeal and as a part of our programme of social awareness in the community, the children who live in our refuge visited a local nursery school before Christmas to share with others not only the traditional Christmas panetones and hot chocolate but also some entertainment.

Thank you

Please support us this Christmas time when, as a part of our programme of social awareness in the community, the children who live in our refuge visit other children and older people who exist in extreme poverty outside our walls. It’s a chance for us to share with others not only the traditional Christmas panetones and hot chocolate, but also dancing and music. The photos show something of our activities at Christmas 2011. We also give out Christmas baskets to the families of our children.

Or see http://www.justgiving.com/projectperuchristmas2012, or send us a cheque. This would make such a difference.

Enjoy fabulous celebrations!

Gracias, on behalf of everyone in Project Peru.
