Our Christmas play 2015

Our children put on two plays demonstrating the search for a less material 'Christmas' and some of the pressures this involves.

We did one performance at the refuge with an invited audience, when we also distributed Christmas 'baskets' to many families; and we also did a street performance in front of local children in a nearby shanty town, San Benito.

Donations of Christmas 'baskets'

Thanks to our Christmas appeal in 2015, and especially through a generous response from the Amoria Bond company and their donation of food, Project Peru received a delivery for distribution just before Christmas. This was sorted into Christmas 'baskets' for around 140 families in all including the families of our own children, families in Las Laderas and in other shanty town settlements near the refuge. Some of it was donated at our Christmas 'show' to which we invited a group of older visitors and other guests, and some was distributed in the neighbourhoods near the refuge.
