At Christmas we were very happy to receive donations of food from a local supplier and from other local supporters, for distribution in the local community and to our families. We put on our annual Christmas entertainment at the refuge for the children’s families and for invited friends of the project. We provided traditional Peruvian Christmas ‘panetone and hot chocolate’ for these visitors, [see our news item] and on another occasion, at the local Health Centre, we also put on an entertainment by our dance and music groups for a local old people’s group, and provided refreshments and donated food parcels and gifts. In the New Year we will be distributing more food parcels in the local community. (see later photos near bottom of this page).
It’s not too late to contribute funds to help to enable all this to happen!
