Our garden was originally bare sand but now we are producing fruit and vegetables for our consumption, as well as trees, shrubs and flowers. The kitchen garden is producing amazing quantities of delicious cherry tomatoes, beetroot, peaches, passion fruit, lettuce, potatoes and more … and our first oranges! And the children love helping to pick them and bring them back to the refuge … not to mention eating them!
